Redact and Search Assistant

Redact and Search Assistant is the newest addition to the PayneGroup security products line. This tool gives you the ability to quickly redact selected words, sentences, pages, headers/footers, as well as specific instances of text throughout the document. Our easy-to-use interface steps you through the process of redacting sensitive and confidential information in your files. Additionally, the Search feature allows you to search for and redact specific words, OR search and replace specific words throughout your entire document.

The Redact Assistant offers the ability to manually select desired text for redaction. Once the area is redacted, it is free of any hidden data, track changes, social security numbers, and any other confidential data that might expose sensitive information to the individual reviewing the document. And since all redaction is irreversible, you can be assured that the original pre-redacted text cannot be retrieved with any other tool.

The Search Assistant component extends the redaction functionality by allowing you to search for specific key words for redaction. By expanding on Microsoft Word's native Search & Replace functionality, you can search and replace 1 to 1000 words, all at the same time. The search options include those that are common to Word's native feature: Match case, Use Wildcards, Ignore punctuation.

As an added bonus, the Redact and Search Assistant gives you the ability to create list sets, which are preconfigured search and redaction settings. This means you can have a separate search list set for every one of your departments, document types (contracts, court filings, medical files), or user groups. The friendly format of the lists (.xml) allows you to share them with other members of your organization.

Paired with the Metadata Assistant, the Redact and Search Assistant adds another layer of security to your confidential and sensitive material documents.
